City of Ember 2008

On the day the world ended the fate of a mankind was carried in a small box. The City of Ember is built that could last for 200 years. It was design and built by a group of scientists, engineers and architect. They have met in a secret location and made a crucial decision. They concluded that there was only one hope for our future, is to build an underground City to protect from citizen for generations to come.

The small metal box contains the instruction to the exit from the City of Ember. The small metal box is designed to open only after 200 years. It was given to the first mayor of ember and then this mayor will pass it to his/her successor but the chain was broken and the box was forgotten.

After 200 years the City of Ember experienced several blackouts and their generator was falling. Citizens of Ember worried about the condition of the City. Their food supplies were being rationed.

Lina a young girl assigned to be a messenger found the small metal box that contains instruction who believed that it was made by the builders. This young girl had a friend who could help her unlocked the secrets to the exit from ember. Together with her little sister poppy they found the exit and made it to the world above the sky.

The movie is so exciting and a lot of heart pounding scenes. You can really sense how determine this young mind to see the world outside the City of Ember. Their curious and hopeful mind brought them to this exciting adventure. The movie also shows how power urged someone to be selfish and immature in times of great need. The mayor for example collected their food supplies in a secret location just for himself. End the end stuck in a horrifying death.

Eragon (2006)

An orphaned farm boy named Eragon is destined to be a dragon rider. While hunting in the forest, he finds a blue stone sent by Princess Arya. He then witness that the blue stone hatches of a dragon and later realize that it is a dragon egg. The name of a dragon is Saphira.

He meet Brom who happened to be a Dragon Rider.
When evil King Galbatorix ruled the entire Alagaesia and finds out about Eragon and the Dragon, the evil sents out his men to capture them. Saphira and Eragon forced to leave from their hometown to search for Varden, a group of rebels to want to witness the downfall of Galbatorix.

Nim's Island (2008)

This is a story directed by Jennifer Flackett with the main casts Abigail Breslin, Jodie Foster, Gerald Butler.

Nim(Abigail Breslin), is an 11 year old girl, who lives in an Island in South Pacific with her father (Geral Butler) and her mother is a deceased which her father had told her that her mom was being swallowed by a Blue whale.


Nim receives and email from Alexandra Rover or Alex Rover, the auther of the book Alex Rover Adventure and asks about his field of knowledge. Alex Rover is somewhat adventurous but in reality she is definitely the opposite.

Nim's father is a marine biologist and is gone for 2 days to find protozoa Nim (a new species of Plankton). He wants to take her along but Nim convinces him to stay because she has to oversee Chicca's eggs (Turtle). They communicated via sattelite phone. However, Jack encounters large waves in the ocean that caused his boat ruin. Galileo, the Pelican, friend of Nim help her father and brings back the things that he needs to fix.

They are exchanging thoughts Alex Rover have told that Nim is alone on that island and that her father did not return home as the time expected. She travelled to rescue Nim.

But at last, Nim's father return home and falls in love with Alexandra Rover (Jodie Foster). This is really a great adventure movie.

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian (2008)

The Four Children returns to Narnia where hundreds of years already had gone by since they ruled Narnia.
When Queen Prunaprimia gave birth to a son, King Miraz - his uncle ordered his men to kill Prince Caspian since the prince has exiled with the help of his tutor.
Susan, Edmund, Lucy and Peter are destined to find Prince Caspian to exterminate king Miraz to prevent ruling the entire Narnians.
The battle begins against the two - the group of the kings and queens of hopes and against Miraz' men.
Lucy seeks out of Aslan, the most powerful in the entire Narnia.

Another Fantasy adventure film for the family.

What Happens in Vegas

This is a 2008 movie. I just saw this movie and its fun.. really really fun.
Joy Mcnally (Cameron Diaz) meets with Jack Fuller - a clumpsy and lousy person who just fired from his boss who happens to his father. Jack Fuller decided to go to Vegas with his unsuccessful lawyer friend, Hater. So as Joy Mcnally. She just dumped by her boyfriend on his birthday in front of her friends. She and her friend decided to go to Vegas.
Due to hotel management mistake, the four stayed in the same room. They go out and explore and ask Cameron to dare with him to drink. The same night, when they are drunk, they don't know that they got married. You know, if you live in Vegas, an instant marriage is available.
Their horrifying and funny story evolved in their unplanned marriage after Jack uses joy's coin to gamble in the jackpot machine and got the jackpot of 3 million dollars.
Will they survive their marriage or ended up a divorce?

Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian

The Museum pieces has been moved to Federal Storage Washington Museums because the Museum of National History is closed for renovations.
On the last night, Larry (Ben Stiller) finds his friends including Theodore Roosevelt(Robin Williams), Rexy the tyrannosaurus skeleton, and Dexter the capuchin monkey.
The good Pharaoh Ahkmenrah and his tablet are not moving to Smithsonian Institution, and the Easter Island head - without the Tablet of Ahkmenrah, and other exhibits will no longer be animated. And there adventure begun.
This is really great movie. I have also watched the night of the Museum 1 where Larry(Ben Stiller) defeated the three night guards plotting to steal the Tablet.

Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinasaurs

When Sid wants to have his own family, he steals the three eggs from a dinasaur. Life begins to change to Manny and his friends.

When the eggs hatched, the mother dinasaur tries to get back her three kids from Sid but he include Sid that lead him into an underground strange world.

Manny and his perfect item Ellie, who is about to give birth, with Diego - the lion help them to find Sid and bring it back to their world.

This movie is really for the family. This is really fun especially when a squirell finds a romance while chasing with the cheese nut.

X-MEN Origin of Wolverine

James Logan aka Wolverine and his brother Victor Creed (soon become Sabrethooth) run away whey they were still young after Logan killed his biological father who murdered his adopted father. They bacame as the soldiers who served several wars until Stryker recruited them in a special unit made up of mutants. After serving several wars he quits the unit and live peacefully with his girlfriend later known as Silver Fox.
After living in a peaceful life, several years later shows up and asks Logan to join them and be part of new Weapon X Project. But Logan rejected the offer. His brother also shows up and killed his girlfriend living him a revenge. He accepted Stryker's offer to be infused with Adamantium so that he can be more powerful.
Later, he found out that Stryker and his brother Victor Creed are working together to gather all abilities of the mutants for their new project and learns that his girlfriend isn't dead but was keeping an eye in him for 6 years and manipulating him with mutant power of persuasion. Fox confronted Stryker and demanded the release of her sister and she was told to wait.
William Stryker activates his XI project which is a combination of all mutant abilities and fight againts Logan. After he won the fight he was safe from the falling debris and was shot by Stryker with adamantium bullets which is the only way to hurt him. He woke up and started to ask himself who he is. Logan is last seen on the bar drinking to remember himself.

This action movie will make you thrilled all the way as the story goes.

Forbidden Kingdom (2008) - Jacky Chan and Jet Li

Forbidden Kingdom is a 2008 American-martial arts adventure film directed by Rob Minnkoff.

I really love this movie since Jacky Chan is my favorite Hollywood actor because I like the way he acted on the screen. If my friends would ask me to watch a movie, it would probably of course Jacky Chan's movie. He has sense of humor and make his viewers laugh. You won't feel bored everytime you watched his movie.

It is the first film of the two known-stars in martial arts film named: Jacky Chan and Jet Li. Jet Li gained so many fans in the Philippines in his action movies. Children who had watched his film have greatly influenced them to train and learn Martial Arts.

Forbidden Kingdon is the story about the legendary stick weapon owned by a Chinese sage warrior "The Monkey King" (Jet Li) for five hundred years. Teenager Jason who is obsessed with the Kungku classics movie finds the lost relic in the Chinese antique pawn shop and finds himself transported back to ancient china.

Their adventure begun when he met the drunken kung Fu master, Lu Yan (Jacky Chan), and enigmatic Skillful monk (jet li), and vengeance-bent Kung fu Beauty, Golden Sparrow (Crystal Liu Li Fei) who led him to return the staff to its rightful owner.

This is really a great movie to be watched especially if you are in the Movie house with your family and friends.

Willow (1988)

Willow is a 1988 fantasy adventure film directed by Ron Howard.

When evil queen Bavmorda fears who the prophecy foretold that a baby with a peculiar birthmark will put her to an end. So, she imprisoned all the mothers who are about to give birth. A prisoner give birth to a destined child, a midwife saves her life before Bavmorda killed the baby. However, the midwife puts the baby on the raft and send it downstream before the hounds of the queen reached her. She eventually washes ashore in the village inhabited by dwarf-like people. Willow Ufgood, the farmer and amateur magician found the baby and was being chosen by the council to return the baby to the world of large people.

The adventure of Willow begun when the evil queen soldiers chasing after the baby and Willow saves the baby from the evil cruel soldiers. The baby then will save the entire land after defeating Bavmorda with the help of Willow's courage and friends.

This movie is really great and is one of the most amazing fantasy adventure film that I've ever watched.

Bolt (2008)

Bolt (2008) (voiced of john travolta) is a story of American white shephered who lives in his whole life in a popular television show who believe that he has superpowers.

When he was accidentally shipped off from hollywood to New york and departed his owner, he has to go back to the hollywood with the help of his two friends - Mittens (the cat) and the fat hamster in a plastic ball. Though their adventures, he found out that he has no superpowers at all and that the show was not for real.

This story is also very good movie for the whole family.

It is an animated comedy film produced by walt disney animation studios directed by Chris Williams.

Madagascar 2

Madagascar 2 is a sequel from Madagascar 2005 which the New yorkers is set to leave Madagascar to go back to Central Park Zoo but all of a sudden they crashed into the wilderness of Africa. Alex then meets the rest of the family and so as his best friends.

I really love this movie and was totaly amazed the unending romance of Melman the giraffe and Gloria the Hippo. They fell in love with each other inspite of their differences, physically but emotionally the same.

You will learn a lot in this movie and enjoy much more with your family. I am hoping that there will be Madagascar 3 (heheheh).

Madagascar 1 (2005)

This is one of my favorite movie. I really had enjoyed watching this movie with the voice main casts are my favorite actors and actresses. They are Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, David Schwimmer, Jada Pinkett Smith, Andy Richter, Sacha Baron Cohen, Cedric the entertainer.
Ales the lion, the king of the urban jungle, now is the main attractions of new york together with his friends Marty the Zebra, Melman the giraffe, and Gloria the Hippo. They lived their entire lives in the big city where the crowds will cheer every time alex shows.
Marty's curiosity to find the better of him, with the help the penguins he escaped and explore the world where he belongs, Alex and Gloria go after him, they were being captivated and captured. The penguins sabotaged the ship, the three friends rushed to the shore. Now, the new yorkers especially the new york giant alex, who was not used of living in the jungle will now learn how to survive what Marty has been dreaming of.
This movie is also perfect for the family and the kids will really enjoy it.
