Dying Young (1991)

Victor Geddes (Campbell Scott) is suffering from leukemia for several years is looking for nurse who would help and assist him in his chemotherapy treatment. He hires the young Hillary O'Neil (Julia Roberts) who had just found out that her boyfriend betrayed her.

But as the time passed of being together, nursing him with constant care, a romance spark in their both hearts. They fall in love with each other.

This movie explains how love works and help with a person infected by a dying disease. That emotional feelings will greatly affect your health. Victor Geddes have fallen in love with Hillary O'Neil for the first time and he forget that he is sick. She help Victor to encourage himself to live and fight in the name of love.

The Reader (2008)

This is really an amazing film I've ever watched. I almost cannot hold my tears back into my eyes with the life's story of Hanna Schmitz (Kate Winslett) and Micheal Berg (David Kross).

We never know when we feel love. We never know how it ends. This movie is related to the world war during Adolf Hitler's occupation, however, the story focusses on the two main casts: Hanna Schmitz (Kate Winslett) and Michael Berg (David Kross).

When Michael Berg was nearly sixteen years old, was ill at the German Stret, a woman in her 30s (Kate Winslett) took care of him and when he recovers he shows back to her apartment to thank her. The two end up with a passionate love romance. He always read a book for her like "The Oddysey" and "The Lady with the Little Dog". But suddenly Hanna disappears and Michael didn't know her whereabouts. Several years later, Michael is a law student observing some Nazi war trials when he realize that the defendant is Hanna Schmitz.

But have you not noticed why it is called "The Reader?" Simply because Hanna loves being read. When she imprison for many years, Michael send her various tape that record his own voice reading a story of "The Lady with the Little Dog". Hanna then knew how to read and write in the jail with the help of the recorded voice tape of Michael Berg.

This story shows how his concern and love to woman whom she always call him "KID".

I really love this captivating movie. I recommended this movie to all my friends and I wasnt to share them the essence of this inspiring film.

Quarantine (2008)

Quarantin is an american horror film directed by John Erick Dowdle with the main casts Jennifer Carpenter, Jay Hernandez, Steve Harris and other famous stars.

When Angela Viday (Jennifer Carpenter) and her cameraman (Steve Harris) assign to stay overnight to set out a report at Los Angeles Fire Station.

An emergency call that takes them to an apartment complex. Police officers are already there when they arrived. Sooner they realize that a woman in the building have infected by a deadly unknown disease and they are trapped inside no way to get out. There mobile phones, tvs, internet connection have been cut off.

This is really a breath-taking movie. This horror film is one my favourie horror movie I cannot forget.

Pearl Harbor (2001)

Pearl Harbor is a 2001 epic war film which foccuses on the War on December 7, 1941 when Japan attack on Pearl Harbor Naval Base.

The main casts of this movie are Ben Afflick which plays the role as First Lieutenant/Captain Rafe McCawley, Josh Hartnett as First Lieutenant/Captain Danny Walker, Kate Beckinsale as Lieutenant Evelyn Johnson.

The childhood Bestfriends Rafe McCawley (Affeck) and Danny Walker (Hartnett) the US Army Air Corps first Lieutenant under the command of Jimmy Doolitle (Baldwin).

On Sunday morning, quiet and peace sorrounding when the Japan air strike against them screamed in the sky surprised to attack the Pearl Harbor.

This is also the love story, romance of Evelyn and Rafe with Danny.

Shutter (2008)

The newly-wed couple - Ben (Joshua Jackson) and Jane (Rachael Taylor) have mysteriously discovers their photograph a light shaddow.

Ben is a photographer and decided to move to leave for Japan whe he should take a photos of a certain client. On their way to the Cabin, Jane gets lost and awaken the sleeping Ben and asked him to look for a map. Jane sees a girl walk into the road and suddenly she hit the girl and bumps unto the tree. They both fall unconcious.

After the accident, Jane took photos everywhere in Japan while Ben is busy with his photography job, she notice a light white shadow on her every photograph. She wonders and asks Ben if know anything about it. She found out that the mysterious ghostly image on the photos named Megumi - a shy type girl who happened to be the girlfriend of Ben before.

What's the mystery behind the past of Ben and Megumi?

Notting Hill (1999)

Anna Scott (Julia Roberts) is a famous leading american artist stops at William Thacker (Hugh Grant), a bookstore owner and seller at notting Hill district in West London.

A polite charming famous actress buys a book from William. Their romance started when William bumps Anna and accidentaly spilling the juice all over her blouses. Since William lives nearby, he politely offers her to stop at his apartment to change and Anna Scott (Julia Roberts) easily agrees. Anna has to stop back to pick up her bag she left at William's (Hugh Grant) house, then they kiss and the love captivate them.

But Anna Scott has already been involved with the famous movie actor, Jeff King.

Cast Away (2002) (Tom Hanks)

The award winning actor - Tom Hanks played the role of Chuck Noland, a FedEx systems engineer whose personal and professional life ruled by the clock. Chuck's plane crash and washes him ashore in an isolated remote island where no human being exists. He was terrefied and frustrated to get away in that island and to return into the world of civilization. In order to survive, he must meet first the basic needs like water to drink and food to eat and shelter.

After four years, Chuck learns and ready to take the opportunity to take off for home. He sets off a wooden craft with a sail and takes him to the civilization.

How to Lose a Guys in 10 Days (2003)

Andie (Kate Hudson) who longs to write about political issues but finds herself writing for women's magazine called Composure. She is challenged by her friend Michelle (Kathryn Hahn) after hearing her latest dating laments to write an article "How to lose a Guy in 10 Days" and she herself have to experienced dating a guy and losing him.

However, Benjamin Barry is an advertising executive competing with his two female co-workers for a major diamond campaign merchant. He cuts the deal to find a girl who falls in love with within 10 days.

They found themselves falling in love with each other and failed with their different missions.

X-MEN Origin of Wolverine

James Logan aka Wolverine and his brother Victor Creed (soon become Sabrethooth) run away whey they were still young after Logan killed his biological father who murdered his adopted father. They bacame as the soldiers who served several wars until Stryker recruited them in a special unit made up of mutants. After serving several wars he quits the unit and live peacefully with his girlfriend later known as Silver Fox.
After living in a peaceful life, several years later shows up and asks Logan to join them and be part of new Weapon X Project. But Logan rejected the offer. His brother also shows up and killed his girlfriend living him a revenge. He accepted Stryker's offer to be infused with Adamantium so that he can be more powerful.
Later, he found out that Stryker and his brother Victor Creed are working together to gather all abilities of the mutants for their new project and learns that his girlfriend isn't dead but was keeping an eye in him for 6 years and manipulating him with mutant power of persuasion. Fox confronted Stryker and demanded the release of her sister and she was told to wait.
William Stryker activates his XI project which is a combination of all mutant abilities and fight againts Logan. After he won the fight he was safe from the falling debris and was shot by Stryker with adamantium bullets which is the only way to hurt him. He woke up and started to ask himself who he is. Logan is last seen on the bar drinking to remember himself.

This action movie will make you thrilled all the way as the story goes.

The Holiday (2006)

The Holiday is a 2006 romantic american omedy film produced by columbia pictures in the US and Universal Studios outside US with the stars starring Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet, Jude Law and Black Jack.

The story involves the two strangers who agreed to exchange their houses for the holiday season.

In London, Iris Simpkins (Kate Winslet) is a newspaper writer about a Wedding with love in her colleague Jasper Bloom. She wants to forget him because she heard a news that the person she love is getting married with another colleague.In Los Angeles, the movie trailer editior, Amanda Woods (Cameron Diaz) who just recently broke up with her unfaithful boyfriend and wants to forget him. She access a house exchange website wherein the two would swap their houses for two weeks. Amanda swaps her mansion with Iris cottage at Surrey, England.

In Los Angeles, Iris Meet a ninety year old screenplay writer-author who helps her retrieve her self-esteem and a film composer, Miles and they fall in love with each other.

In London, Amanda meets Iris widow brother and they fall in love with each other.

Noah then sent her 365 letters but unfornately but she never gets all of them. When Noah came back, he saw Alie and his new boyfriend who are about to get married. He let go of Alie and restore and old house just the way she wanted it. Noah's picture cathes Alie's eye. He is standing in front of the restored house, 200 year old home. She then go to the place and met Noah.
This is a love story of Noah Calhoun and Alie Hamilton who never stop to love each other.

Wanted (Angelina Jolie)

But too late, he already killed his father when he found out the truth.

Forbidden Kingdom (2008) - Jacky Chan and Jet Li

Forbidden Kingdom is a 2008 American-martial arts adventure film directed by Rob Minnkoff.

I really love this movie since Jacky Chan is my favorite Hollywood actor because I like the way he acted on the screen. If my friends would ask me to watch a movie, it would probably of course Jacky Chan's movie. He has sense of humor and make his viewers laugh. You won't feel bored everytime you watched his movie.

It is the first film of the two known-stars in martial arts film named: Jacky Chan and Jet Li. Jet Li gained so many fans in the Philippines in his action movies. Children who had watched his film have greatly influenced them to train and learn Martial Arts.

Forbidden Kingdon is the story about the legendary stick weapon owned by a Chinese sage warrior "The Monkey King" (Jet Li) for five hundred years. Teenager Jason who is obsessed with the Kungku classics movie finds the lost relic in the Chinese antique pawn shop and finds himself transported back to ancient china.

Their adventure begun when he met the drunken kung Fu master, Lu Yan (Jacky Chan), and enigmatic Skillful monk (jet li), and vengeance-bent Kung fu Beauty, Golden Sparrow (Crystal Liu Li Fei) who led him to return the staff to its rightful owner.

This is really a great movie to be watched especially if you are in the Movie house with your family and friends.

Beverly Hills Chuhuahua (2008)

Beverly Chihuahua is a 2008 comedy film directed by Raja Gosnell with the main character Chloe-a chihuahua voiced of Drew Barrymore-a spoiled dog who lives her fabulous lifestyle in Beverly Hills.

Aunt Vivian leaves her pet chihuahua for ten days with her irresponsible niece Rachel. Rachel then decided to go to Mexico with her friends and brought Chloe with her. Chloe got lost and bonds with Delgado-a lonely german shepherd who happens to be a police dog, goes run from a ruthless duberman called El Diablo.

However, Papi-a landscaper who fell in love with her helped Rachel in looking for her only love.

Kill Bill Volume II

The Bride is back to continue her vengeance against the people who gunned her during her wedding day.

This is the much awaited journey of the bride the "face to face" with Bill, her boss in Assassination Squad.

Beatrix -the bride journeyed to Mexico to find Bill. She is shocked when she finally finds Bill with her 4-year old daughter B.B is alive and expecting her mother's return. The family spend time together that night. When BB finally got asleep, beatrix confronts Bill in the Living room and defeated Bill. Bill takes the final step and bid goodbye.

Kill Bill Volume 1

"The Bride" the lead character of the story who was a member of Deadly Viper Assassination Squad, lead by her lover "Bill". Upon knowing she was pregnant with Bill's child, she escape her killer life to New York. She met a young man, and Bill together with his colleagues gunned the man and her entire family.

After four years, the Bride wakes from a coma and discovers that her baby was gone. So, she decided to revenge who ruined her life and the entire family.

This story focuses on the revenge of the bride and struggled alone to find the people who killed her baby.

Willow (1988)

Willow is a 1988 fantasy adventure film directed by Ron Howard.

When evil queen Bavmorda fears who the prophecy foretold that a baby with a peculiar birthmark will put her to an end. So, she imprisoned all the mothers who are about to give birth. A prisoner give birth to a destined child, a midwife saves her life before Bavmorda killed the baby. However, the midwife puts the baby on the raft and send it downstream before the hounds of the queen reached her. She eventually washes ashore in the village inhabited by dwarf-like people. Willow Ufgood, the farmer and amateur magician found the baby and was being chosen by the council to return the baby to the world of large people.

The adventure of Willow begun when the evil queen soldiers chasing after the baby and Willow saves the baby from the evil cruel soldiers. The baby then will save the entire land after defeating Bavmorda with the help of Willow's courage and friends.

This movie is really great and is one of the most amazing fantasy adventure film that I've ever watched.

The Breed (2006)

This is a horror movie when a group of teenagers decided to relax and have some fun in the deserted island where John inherited the house from his uncle who lives there before he died.
The tragically, that deserted island had become the refugee of the wild dogs.
Now, the story began when the dog attacked and bite them until they die. This thrilled movie make you move in your sofa as you go along the movie. The teenagers tried to escape in an isolated island as they formulate any ides how to survive and go back to their home.
This horror film directed by Nicholas Mastandrea and it was released on may 2006 on Cannes Film Festival and subsequently released in other film markets and festivals around the world.

Bolt (2008)

Bolt (2008) (voiced of john travolta) is a story of American white shephered who lives in his whole life in a popular television show who believe that he has superpowers.

When he was accidentally shipped off from hollywood to New york and departed his owner, he has to go back to the hollywood with the help of his two friends - Mittens (the cat) and the fat hamster in a plastic ball. Though their adventures, he found out that he has no superpowers at all and that the show was not for real.

This story is also very good movie for the whole family.

It is an animated comedy film produced by walt disney animation studios directed by Chris Williams.

Madagascar 2

Madagascar 2 is a sequel from Madagascar 2005 which the New yorkers is set to leave Madagascar to go back to Central Park Zoo but all of a sudden they crashed into the wilderness of Africa. Alex then meets the rest of the family and so as his best friends.

I really love this movie and was totaly amazed the unending romance of Melman the giraffe and Gloria the Hippo. They fell in love with each other inspite of their differences, physically but emotionally the same.

You will learn a lot in this movie and enjoy much more with your family. I am hoping that there will be Madagascar 3 (heheheh).

The Pianist (2002)

The true story of a famous piano player in Poland, Wladyslaw Szpilman (Adrien Brody), a polish jew who witnessed the restrictions of the Nazis on the Poland city who trapped for five years struggling to live againts the Nazi occupation during World War II.

This movie reflected on how the jews survived during the Hitler's occupancy and how the administration treated brutaly to the jewish people. Wladyslaw Szilman born in Poland with a wealthy happy family and was destroyed when the Nazis ruled over the place and restricting them to live at Warsaw ghetto and his family was being shipped off to Nazis camp land. When he escape from deportation, he lived in the abandoned ruin warsaw who was just bombed by the Nazis. Fortunately, he was lucky to have a nice friend and offered him a comfortable shelter hiding in their apartment. However, if in case the Germans find him, he should go out to the street and forced to hide in an abandoned building, sometimes when circumstance he nearly caught by the germans, he pretended to be dead.

Experience the trill of the movie of how the world history changed our current lives.

Madagascar 1 (2005)

This is one of my favorite movie. I really had enjoyed watching this movie with the voice main casts are my favorite actors and actresses. They are Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, David Schwimmer, Jada Pinkett Smith, Andy Richter, Sacha Baron Cohen, Cedric the entertainer.
Ales the lion, the king of the urban jungle, now is the main attractions of new york together with his friends Marty the Zebra, Melman the giraffe, and Gloria the Hippo. They lived their entire lives in the big city where the crowds will cheer every time alex shows.
Marty's curiosity to find the better of him, with the help the penguins he escaped and explore the world where he belongs, Alex and Gloria go after him, they were being captivated and captured. The penguins sabotaged the ship, the three friends rushed to the shore. Now, the new yorkers especially the new york giant alex, who was not used of living in the jungle will now learn how to survive what Marty has been dreaming of.
This movie is also perfect for the family and the kids will really enjoy it.

Pink Panther 2

Pink Panther 2 is a spy comedy film directed by Harald Zwart. It is the sequel to 2006 film The Pink Panther, a reboot of a popular comedy series.

This movie is really fun and experiend the extraordinary role of Inspector Clouseau(Steve Martin).

When the legendary treasures from around the world are stolen which includes the Pink Panther Diamond, Chief Inspector Dreyfus (John Cleese) is forced to assign the task to Inspector Clouseau into International detectives and joined the team to retrieve the lost artifacts.

Joined him as the adventures begun with his partin, Ponton, to investigate the most valuable treasure.

This movie is set at Paris and Rome.

Fireproof

This is a great story for couple and you can get a valuable lesson from it. I strongly recommend this movie to those married couples who has just terribly fighting each other and cannot overcome the loads they have.

The story reflects to the common problem to couples.

When Caleb hold tries to save their marriage for 40 days known as "The Love Dare" when his father - a Reformed Christian, tries to help him to save their seven years of marriage. Caleb is a firefighter who stand his rule "Never Leave your Partner" but he cannot resist the fact that his own married life situation nearly fall apart.

So he confronted his father and told him everything about their never-ending arguments. His father asked him if there is another way and chance to save their marriage. He asked a favor and gave him a book calle a "Love Dare".

The setting of the story and the big impact to the families have greatly influenced many couples. To accept Jesus Christ as your Savior and he never leave you behind all the time.

Dennis The Menace

I love this movie. Very funny. It makes my stomach ache and can't help but to laugh and laugh.

Dennis the Menace is a family film Hank Ketcham comic strip.

Dennis Mitchel, a 5-year old boy living with his parents next to hot-tempered Mr. George Wilson, is out of school for the summer. Whis his parents are both working with their respective employers, Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell forced to have various of people to babysit Dennis. The latter becomes more and more notorious among babysitters for being more than a handful, and his flagrant unwillingness to be babysat by Martha Wade (parent of his female nemesis, Margaret), proves a difficult situation when both parents are forced to go on business trips for their respective companies.

His parents tried to ask Mr. and Mrs. Wilson to babysit Dennis. Mr. Wilson, becoming a winner of the community's garden association, holds a party, inviting the elder community to witness the blooming of a rare flower, whose forty-year existence will, in the light of a full moon, produce only ten seconds of a flowered life before withering away.

Dennis ran off away from Mr. Wilson when he mistakenly pushed the button and turned out all their foods swipped on the ground.

He was driven to the forest and Sam - the thief found him and made him a hostage. The hostage taker is now the victim of Dennis' naughtyness and send the thief to jail.

This is an extraordinary movie for me which is perfect for the whole family.

Knowing (Nicholas Cage)

This movie was played by famous actor (Nicholas Cage) is a fiction film directed by Alex Proyas.

The story goes like this:

In 1959, at William Dawes Elementary School, Massachusetts, a time capsule containing the drawing of the students the idea of what will be the future look like and buried and set to be opened 50 years later. There was a girl named Lucinda Embry contributes a full page of ramdom numbers and acted mysteriously. She was then found one day at the school's closet with her bloodied hands and complaining about the whispering voices.

50 years later, A boy named Caleb - son of John Koestler, a widower and a professor of astrophysics at MIT. Caleb receives the handwriting of Lucinda Embry containing the series of numbers and John noticed it. John Koestler realized that the series of numbers in the paper form dates and death tolls of every major disaster for over 50 years and suggests there are still three disasters to come.

Caleb begins receiving mysterious visits from the strangers and hears a telephatic whispers. John witnesses the tragic commercial place crash on the very place and date the predicted disaster will occur. Another disaster will happen in Manhattan. He also tried to prevent the Manhattan train derailment crash but he failed.

The last major disaster would be the Solar flare which everybody will die. Caleb and Abby - granddaughter of Lucinda was being driven by the strangers and reached to the forest. They were being saved and followed the strangers.

However, John went home to his family and together they will die as the solar flare strikes the earth.

This story nearly comes into reality as I have watched this movie. The last disaster where the solar flare or the sun explodes and all the living creatures in the earth will vanished. I guess, this predictions have the possibility to come true. Because, as we can see now our environment and the climate change.

The Family Man

This amazing movie relates some people into their real lives. Asked themselves What if you have made a different choices? You said yes but instead you said no. This is a story of Jack Campbell who thought he has everything until one day fate gave him a glimpse and what is life could have been if he never had gone to London as an investment Banker.

Jack Campbell is a wealthy investment banker. Until one morning, an angel gave him a glimpse of his life if he stayed in the United States with his girlfriend. He suddenly woke up in a strange bed with his wife he never got married and his two kids. He desperately wanted to go back to his old life but he was really stuck in a different situation and an angel wanted to teach this over confident wealthy man a lesson that would change his life forever. He tried to struggle to live with his family with two beautiful and perfect lovely kids. After several days, weeks of living with them in a strange house, he succeeded to love his dull job and enjoys watching and playing with the kids and love his wife. But remember, this isn't a permanent life, this is just a glimpse of his simple life with his family yet wealthy of love and compassion.

His young daughter discovers his secret that he was not their dad and tried to help him survived in a different situation. But when time he realizes the happy family he could have, time for him to go back to his former life - and woke up in his bed and remembers everything about what he dreamt. His former lonely life makes him so desperate. He closed the &130 acquisition deal and find his girlfriend whom he fell in love with before she heads off to Paris. Then he told everything that he wanted to live with her for the rest of his life and the life they could have been when he never had gone to London thirteen years ago.

This story touches my heart and captures my interest to share it to my colleagues and friends. How important is family regardless of all your stuffs. The family is the most important to our lives.

The Pursuit of Happiness

This is one of the best movies I had watched the I can't resist to hold back my tears from flowing.

This movie was based on a true story by Chris Gardner, a on and off homeless salesman turned into stockbroker. Chris Gardner invests his family savings for a bone-density scanner. But the fate really plays his life. When his wife moves to New York for another opportunity, he was totally committed to his son Christopher, who encouraged him to work for a daily living.

During the period of homelessness, he was driven by his fate to fight as a stock broker intership for six months-without salary and any allowances - training period. He's been through a lot of sufferings and sacrifices.

I really love the scene when he was being intervied by a couple of superiors after being arrested for without paying the parking fees. He was totally desperate and went to the office with no proper attire. He was asked by a certain employer: What can you say if I will hire a man with no shirt? and he answered: I guess he's got some nice pants. All of them laugh.

He was not confident to meet an end because only one out of twenty interns will make a cut. When Chris and his 5-year old son evicted from their rented apartment, they were forced to sleep behind the locked doors in the Metro station bathroom.
