Movie Review: Salt, Fun and Absurd

The opening scene of Salt gives us a glimpse of Angelina Jolie stripped down to her frilly under things being tortured by angry-faced Asian men in communist-style military garb. And that image basically sets the tone for the rest of the movie—increasingly far-fetched and stereotypical action movie tropes play themselves out around the image of a beautiful woman.

But this is not to say that Salt is all bad. Sure, it plays on stereotypes and well-worn action movie set pieces, but the action is pretty fun to watch, and after a while you stop caring about the political motivations of Salt the CIA or cold-war era Russian spies, and you just sit back and enjoy the ride.

Jolie gives an apt performance, but there is little for her to work with in the script, so she uses most of her acting talent to look sexy while jumping through the air, punching, shoots guns, and generally blowing stuff up—not unlike her role in the Tomb Raider movies. Other actors, who have been spectacular in other movies, Liev Shreiber and Chitwel Ejiofor, turn in average performances as well, which mostly consist of yelling at each other and barking orders, roles that—with lesser actors—would have made the movie seem all that more ridiculous.

But this movie is not about nuanced acting or superb writing, it’s about car chases and big expositions, and this is where the movie really shines. For all intents and purposes, Salt is one big chase scene, but without the shaky-cam madness of a number of recent actions films that are also trying to play off the Bourne franchise to lesser effect. Instead, the audience is never so lost in the action that they don’t know what is going on. The framing and editing of the action is clear and clean, letting the audience follow Salt though every jump from a semi, police car crash, and explosion without getting sick or losing their grounding in reality.

Audiences may find it odd that the Cold War is suddenly alive and well in a 21st century setting, but by the time they unravel the shifting story line and see the conspiracy at it’s core they have already invested too much in the action set pieces to care much about the story itself. And even if Salt borrows a lot of material from the Bourne and Mission: Impossible movies, it’s still a fun ride that will get your blood pumping—even as you realize that the action is completely absurd.

Looking forward to being ‘Buried’

Ryan Reynolds has been known for too much in his acting career thus far, except as a wise-cracking frat boy in ‘Van Wilder’ and as a good-looking face in a handful of forgettable romantic comedies. However, that may be changing in the near future, and some say that Reynolds has much more in store for audiences than the lukewarm faire he has shown audiences already.

Glimpses of something better

Popularly Reynolds is known as a comedic actor; however, some of his more independent work gives us a glimpse of what Reynolds might be capable of in the future. For instance, mainstream audiences didn’t see ‘The Nines,’ a trippy experimental film with follows Reynolds in three different incarnations—as three different personas—as he tries to figure out the metaphysical changes that seem to be popping up around him. The movie received widespread critical acclaim (if not popular acclaim) and most of it centered aro und critics’ surprise that Reynolds could actually take on a serious role and knock it out of the park.

In addition the ‘The Nines,’ Reynolds also received rave reviews for his portrayal of a single father sorting out his past loves in ‘Definitely, Maybe’—as well another critical success but not a big hit with general audiences.

On the horizon

Now it is Reynolds’ turn to show what he’s really made of with two bigger films that feature him in non-comedic roles. The studios are taking bug bets on ‘Buried’ and ‘The Green Lantern’ set for release later this year and next summer respectively.

‘Buried’ premiered at Sundance to huge critical and popular praise that actually started a bidding war between studios to acquire the film. The studios are going out on a limb with this one because it features Reynolds as the only actor in the film. He plays a government contractor in Iraq who has been kidnapped and buried alive with nothing but a cell phone, a lighter, and 90 minutes of air. A claustrophobic thriller to say the least. As well, Reynolds has been cast as classic superhero The Green Lantern in a multi-million dollar blockbuster comic book adaptation meant to rival the popular Batman and Iron Man movies and start a new franchise of superhero films. The studios are betting he’ll pull it off. But the question is, will audiences accept Reynolds as a “serious” actor?

Ridley Scott Plans ‘Alien’ Prequels

The movie Alien opened in the US on May 25, 1975, to mixed reviews. Although much of the science fiction community loved it, it was panned by many other critics who said that it was a just a bunch of special effects and cheap tricks that lacked for real storytelling. Well, those critics are in the minority now. Alien is now known as one of the best science fiction movies ever made which has spawned 3 sequels and a number of other Alien-inspired movies like Alien vs. Predator. At the time of its release, Ridley Scott, the director was a virtual unknown in the world of cinema. But now the 3-time academy-award nominee has one of the most prestigious and most successful careers in Hollywood.

Return to the Past

But now that Scott has received widespread fame for his directing movies like Blade Runner, Thelma and Louise, Gladiator, Black Hawk Down, Kingdom of Heaven, American Gangster, and more, In an interview with The Independent, Scott reveals that he is ready to return to his roots and produce and direct two Alien prequels. In the interview he gave this tidbit about what we might expect in the upcoming films:

“The film will be really tough, really nasty. . . . It's the dark side of the moon. We are talking about gods and engineers. Engineers of space. And were the aliens designed as a form of biological warfare? Or biology that would go in and clean up a planet?”

In an interview with MTV earlier this year, Scott gave away some of the basics of the plot, saying that it will be set in 2085—about 30 years before Ellen Ripley (Sigourney Weaver’s character) is born—so she won’t be in it. He went on to say that the prequels will have a lot to do with the concept of terraforming alien worlds to make them habitable for humans. He also hinted at explaining a little bit about the space jockey from the original film—the dead figure seated inside the spaceship where Ripley’s crew finds the alien eggs.

Can It Work?

No doubt Scott is an able filmmaker—he’s certainly proved himself throughout the years—and although he says that the prequels will be accessible to anyone who hasn’t seen the original Alien or its sequels, going back and milking the series once again seems a bit gimmicky. But whether or not he can pull the film off, there will be thousands of fans of the original series lining up to buy tickets.

Horton Hears a Who (2008) is really a great movie to be watched.
Horton (Voice of Jim Carey) – a giant elephant, a jungle teacher took a dunk in a pool. A small particle passed him in the air and hears a tiny little voice inside the speck. Horton tries to run after a speck and believes that there is a life inside the speck.
He then succeed by talking Mayor Ned McDodd (Steve Carell) – who is living inside the speck, has a beautiful wife, Sally (Amy Poehler), and 96 daughters.

Mayor McDodd finds out that they are living in a small speck and their home will be destroyed if Horton will not find a safer place for them to live. However, Sour Kangaroo (Carol Burnett) is against of Horton’s attitude he has showed to her son. She tries to ask Horton to give it up to her but Horton refused. Her patience lasted. She gathers all the animals in the jungle and gives them false statements against Horton. She asked them to chase Horton and put it in the Cave.
The Sour Kangaroo’s son hears the noise inside the speck and the crowd stopped to release Horton. The Who-Ville where Mayor Ned McDodd and entire people will now live forever.

Alvin and the chipmunks synopsis (2007):

Alvin, Simon and Theodore was hiding in a Christmas tree in Jett Records Studio operated by the friend of Dave Seville (Jason Lee), a songwriter who wanted to gain recognition in a music industry.
He adopted the three singing chipmunks, Theodore (Jesse McCartney), Alvin (Justin Long), Simon (Matthew Gray Gubler). They to stay in Dave’s house but in return they will have to sing Dave’s songs.
The singing chipmunks became famous and thus Dave Seville transformed from less fortunate to a famous one. However, there might be some conflicts regarding with family matters.

The 3 chipmunks decided to live with their uncle Ian (who managed them in Jett Records) provided them everything including toys and foods and etc. The boys are too busy with their concerts and etc and that lead them to risk their health. They have concluded to rather live and stay with Dave and longed to go back home.

500 Days of Summer Movie is a romantic-comedy film written by Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber, directed by Marc Webb with the leading stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel.

Tom Hansen who loves architecture meets Summer Finn after his boss introduced Summer Finn as his new assistant. Tom Hansen works as a writer in a greeting card company.

For a couple of months, Summer and Tom became closer and Tom's love grows although Summer already told him that she doesn't believe in true love and doesn't want to have a boyfriend.

Tom brings Summer into his favourite place in the city wherein you can see the number of building. After few weeks of dating together, Tom gets into trouble after he sees Summer talking to a guy. Summer split him up.

Few months later, the meet again at their colleagues wedding. They danced and drink together. Summer asked Tom if he can come to a party of Summer's apartment but disappointed after he saw an engagement ring in Summer's finger. He walked-out with depression. He drinks and eat a lot of junks foods in his room. After few days, he quits his job and focusing on his architecture plan.

After 12 years, Tom attends an interview and meets a girl applying of the same job. He ask her if she can eat or drink coffee after the interview. He then ask her name and she said "AUTUMN."

Baler movie is based on true events which were happened in Baler province, somewhere in North Luzon.
The main casts of this movie were Anne Curtis and Jericho Rosales and other pinoy casts.
The love story happens in Baler when Celco (Jericho Rosales) was a Spanish soldier meet this young beautiful woman Feliza (Anne Curtis) who’s father is a Rebel.

Her Family prohibits their love affair with Celso. After Lt. Mota assassinated, Celso and Feliza continued to struggle their love not to get caught by Feliza’s parents. Feliza’s father considered the Spanish soldiers as his mortal enemies because he just want to give justice to his sister who had been raped by the Spanish soldier in front of him.
The battle begins between the Spanish soldiers and the rebels.

Their love begins in Baler and ends also in Baler. This story explains how the Spaniards spent their time in the Philippines and how they treated Filipinos.

Sebastian Hastings (James Kirk) is out for two weeks in London for his passion in Music leaving his twin sister Viola (Amanda Bynes) to help him in his school. Viola Hasting decided to disguise her personality and pretended to be as Sebastian since her Soccer team had been cut off and she also dump her boyfriend. Her passion in Soccer game had lead her to slept with her roomate Duke (Channing Tatum). It has been her dream to beat with the guys in the Soccer field and prove to them that girls are better that the boys.

After several days of pretending to be his brother, constant training, she fell in love with her roommate, Duke.
One day, the Hastings family were in the Carnival where in her mother is expecting Sebastian and Viola to be there and so as Monique, Sebastian's girlfriend. She changed clothes from time to time to make one of her twin appear. An encounter where in Duke kissed Viola. The real Sebastian Hastings also fell in love with Olivia.

This movie is really great. You should have to watch this one.

The main star of the movie was Carter Chambers(Morgan Freeman) and Edward Cole(Jack Nicholson). Both have terminal illnesess and they shared a room in the hospita. Edward Cole was a corporate billionairre while Carter Chambers was a working class mechanic. After Edward and Carter know that their life will end too soon, they planned to leave and made a bucket list. This list were the things that they should do before their life ended. They traveled to France, Africa, Asia, etc. They even did an extreme sky diving.

The movie was really good and I think everyone should watch it. It had a good dramatical sequence. You'll be inspired by how they spent their last hour on earth. The most interesting part of the movie was when Edward Cole made a speech during Carter's funeral.

Overall the movie was excellent.

2012 is a very interesting movie of the year. I had watched this movie in SM Theater
and it has a very excellent sound effects and the motion picture was just fantastic.
I was surprised because there are a lot of thrilling scenes in the movie.

2012 is a fictional movie about the ending of the world. It was predicted by the Mayan settlers
thousands of year ago that the earth will end in 2012. Mayan calendar ended on 2012. Of course we are not praying that it will happen but we are praying contrary to that.

2012 focus on the family of John Cossack, The U.S. government, the Researchers and the people in their quest of survival. In the movie by year 2012, the planet will line and the earth's core will melt causing land mass to fall down and displacement. The movie has an excellent visual effects on volcanic eruptions, comets of magma like an intruders and the collapse of buildings and other known structures in the world.

John Cossack, 2 kids, Ex, and his Ex boyfriend joined together to survived. They were able to excaped from the devastating collapse of America by plane. From high above they were able to witness how mother Earth and its inhabitant vanished. On the other hand, the U.S. government has prepared for this foreseen events. That's why they build several ships in China and the construction was successful. John Cossack and his family were able to reach China and fortunate to get aboard the ship together with other people. When the vast water flooded the area, problems in the ship arise, however they also to fix the problems. The water surge was very quick. The water even reach the top of the Himalayan mountains to Mt. Everest. Because of the major displacement of land mass in Earth, new lands, new territories emerge. After the catastrophic event, only those who were inside the ship survived. For another new beginning.

What I like most about the movie was its visual effects. There are a lot of scenes in the movie that makes you jump from your seat make a self defense against self destruction...
You'll like this movie. Watch it now.

Jane has been a bridesmaid for 27 weddings and have 27 dresses. Jane (Katherine Heigl) is in love with her boss George (Edward Burns). Her Sister Tess (Malin Akerman) comes home and flirted George and the latter falls in love with her sister. Jane was about to attend the 28th wedding for her sister.

Meanwhile, Jane was spotted with a newspaper writer (James Marden) in one of her friends's wedding in a different reception in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Kevin finds her attractive and I he falls in love with her.

While Tess and George are planning to get married and Jane was chosen to prepare everything with the help of Kevin, Jane realizes how difficult it is to see her Love (George) will be getting married with her sister. Jane knew that it was not a true love her sister shows to George. She finds way to split them up.

After their break up, Jane was not happy at all and realizes that it was Kevin whom she knew the man of her life.

Synopsis:

After Kate (Vera Farmiga) and John (Peter Sarsgaard) losses their third child, Jessica, both were experiencing strains in their marriage.

Their deaf-mute daughter Max (Aryana Engineer) asks her of when she can have a baby sister. The couple decided to adopt a 9-year-old Russian girl, Esther, whom they met in the local orphanage.

Max embraces Esther and their son Danny ignored her. Kate is worried and suspicious about Esther after the latter saw them have sex. Later on, Esther pushes her schoolmate in the playground and told sister Abigail about it. Sister Abigail, the head of the orphanage, arrived in their home warned Kate and John about Esther as she found out Esther's presence when there are things go wrong. Esther overheard it and killed sister Abigail. She convinces Max to help her hide the body. Danny saw Esther and Max getting off his tree house and later that night he was threaten Danny and asked what he saw.

Esther tried to kill Danny and sets a fire in the tree house. He fall and have a sever neck injury. They rush him off to the hospital but Esther wants to finish him off. Kate receive a call from Doctor Värava (Karel Roden) who reveals everything about the story of Esther that she is not a 9-year-old child but a 33 year old woman. The doctor warned her that Esther is dangerously psychotic. She rushed to go home but it was too late that her husband is already dead.

Esther chases them , Kate and Max) and ended up in the frozen pond.

Mike O' Donnel (Zac Efron) was a hearthrob in his senior year. He was famous in his high school basketball team. He has a girlfriend named Scarlett.

On his big game wherein college students are checking him out, Scarlett confess that she is pregnant, destructed and leave the game to propose Scarlett to marry him.

After two decades of living together, Mike whined and blamed Scarlett for everything. His family is failing, he didn't get the job promotion, and his kids cannot stand him.
One day while staring at his high school photo when he was 17 years old, a janitor appeared and ask him if he wanted to go back to 17 again, the he said yes. While driving on the bridge, he saw a janitor wants to fall from the bridge. He quickly run and save him but it was too late. After a few seconds he drowned into the water and go to his friends house, Ned (Thomas Lenon) and he looked 17 again. He pretended to be a high school student, enters a varsity, be friend with his kids and etc.
He was given the unique opportunity to be back in high school to relieve his past days.
He realize that it was Scarlett he choose and she was the greatest decision he ever made of marrying her.

Stepbrothers is a 2008 comedy film that will surely make you laugh.

Here's the synopsis:

Brennan Huff (Ferrel) is a thirty-nine year old who just got fired from his job and lives with his mother, Nancy (Mary Steenburgen) while Dale Doback (Reilly) is a forty year old unemployed man who also live with his father, Robert (Richard Jenkins).
When Robert and Nancy got married and forced to live together under one roof. Nancy and Brennan moved to Robert's house. Dale and Brennan forced to live in and sleep in the same room as a stepbrothers. At first, they really are not comfortable with each other and always had a fight. Later on they started to realize to be friend with each other.

I really laugh on the scenes that during their job interviews, their character reference is Jesus Christ. It was really.. really... you know.....

They failed to get a job and return home. Brennan was once a singer and however Dale has a passion of beats like drums in a band. They decided to make their own company called "Prestige Worldwide". They make a music video to promote their singing talents being shot on Robert's boat.

Robert decided to file a divorce to Nancy. Dale and Brennan blame themselves for the break up and parted ways. During the sales party for helicopters, the Catalina Wine Mixer (it was arranged by Brennan), the whole family meet up together and as Dale and Brennan of their Prestige Worldwide, Brennan started to sing right after the band quits. Robert and Nancy dance together and falls in love again.

Dr. Kate Forster is a doctor who works in a hospital in Chicago moving our from her lake house.
Alex Wyler is an architect who works in a construction of a new complex of houses at the city skirts, is a new owner of lake house.
Their correspondence with Alex and Kate through mailbox, sending notes and talking about each other about the lakehouse. However, Kate and Alex world is impossible to meet. Alex live in the year 2004 and Kate in the future, year 2006.
After talking and sharing each other's experience and the past and future, they seem to fall in love.
They try to find a way to see each other regardless of the time.

On the day the world ended the fate of a mankind was carried in a small box. The City of Ember is built that could last for 200 years. It was design and built by a group of scientists, engineers and architect. They have met in a secret location and made a crucial decision. They concluded that there was only one hope for our future, is to build an underground City to protect from citizen for generations to come.

The small metal box contains the instruction to the exit from the City of Ember. The small metal box is designed to open only after 200 years. It was given to the first mayor of ember and then this mayor will pass it to his/her successor but the chain was broken and the box was forgotten.

After 200 years the City of Ember experienced several blackouts and their generator was falling. Citizens of Ember worried about the condition of the City. Their food supplies were being rationed.

Lina a young girl assigned to be a messenger found the small metal box that contains instruction who believed that it was made by the builders. This young girl had a friend who could help her unlocked the secrets to the exit from ember. Together with her little sister poppy they found the exit and made it to the world above the sky.

The movie is so exciting and a lot of heart pounding scenes. You can really sense how determine this young mind to see the world outside the City of Ember. Their curious and hopeful mind brought them to this exciting adventure. The movie also shows how power urged someone to be selfish and immature in times of great need. The mayor for example collected their food supplies in a secret location just for himself. End the end stuck in a horrifying death.

It is good movie for young adults. The story is about a young man, James who just graduated from college. He was force to work in the adventureland in order to meet his plans in life. The Adventureland is an amusement place where everyone can enjoy themselves with all the rides and games. James met Em in the amusement and fall in love with each other. However both have secrets, James had a date with the beautiful girl in the amusement but James eventually confess to Em. Em on the other hand had an affair with Mike Connell (Ryan Reynolds). James knew about it after a friend told him the whole story. He goes mad and end their job in the adventureland. In the end both was able to get in touch with each other in New York.

The story is a typical kind of movie that features love, adventure, adulthood, and showed some lessons that everyone could learn.

Tropic Thunder (2008)

Tropic Thunder is actually a movie in progress played by Speedman (Ben Stiller), Kirk Lazarus (Robert Downey Jr.), Chino (Brandon T. Jackson), Portnoy (Jack Black) and Sandusky ( Jay Baruchel). The production of the movie is a month behind schedule and has been spending millions of dollars. The director was not able to properly organized their actors while the actors showed no emotional attachment to the movie or its story.

The writer of the Tropic Thunder was believed to be one of those armies who fought the Viet Cong during the Vietnam war. However it was found that he was neither a soldier nor having no fingers, he wrote the story for the tribute to those who fought in war.

The actors were sent into the jungle to shot the movie. They were told that cameras were installed all over the place. They were given a map and continuing to do the scenes. Speedman (Ben Stiller) part ways with the group and soon captured with the Dragons “a known heroin producer”. The group continued to travel and found out that speedman is captured. They plan an ambush based on the film’s plot line and was a success. They were able to rescue Speedman and the rest of the group.

The story is some sort of comedy, action and drama. One of the funny parts is in their shooting part wherein one army was shot in the head and then came blood rushing out like a water in the faucet. Also funny part is when sadusky is attacked with a knife in his stomach, his intestines are coming out and his holding in it. Speedman’s hand become like a blooming flowers. In the story I was surprised when a kid appears to be the leader of the Dragon. No wonder to be him because he knows Kung Fu. I enjoy the whole story. It is really another big hit in Ben Stiller’s movie.

Changeling is inspired by a true story movie set on 1928. The movie is starred by Angelina Jolie. The story is excellent wherein the sequence is properly arranged. The thrilling in the movie starts when Walter Collins is gone. However after a couple of months of continued search the LAPD found a boy in Illinois that match with the description of Christine’s son. When the boy was presented to Christine Collins, she denied that it was her son. She also found concrete evidence that it’s not really her son; the boy is circumcised, 2 inches shorter than the last time she measures Walter, he cannot remember were he sits in his classroom and there are some changes in his teeth. Now the teacher and the dentist are ready to give their testimonies to the court. After many denials, the LAPD brought Christine to the confinement for the reason of insanity. She was able to get out after the truth about her uncovers.

The movie portrayed something that we didn’t know. It also shows how a mother unceasingly searches for his lost son. In the end of the movie Christine Collins gains hope that his son might still be alive because of the new revelations by the kid of was able to survive. She’s hoping that her son might be somewhere still afraid to get out.

Rose flew with her grandchildren to ship and told the whole story.

Titanic was the famous ship that time where thousands of people on board including the first class, the second class, and the third class. Jack Dawson was included in the poor class with his bestfriend Fabrizio De Rossi (Danny Nucci). Rose was 17 year old attempts to jump-off to the ocean but Jack quickly pulls her back to the ship. Their romance started to evolve around them.

When the Ship collides with a huge iceberg, their love becomes a struggle for survival. They have to fight to stay alive. But unfortunately, Jack didn't make it. He died.

When Jonathan Trager and Sara Thomas meet at New York on Christmas both are buying the same gloves for their lovers but they both don't know the name yet. Jonathan ask Sara of her name and a telephone number but Sara refuse him but instead she decided to let faith will find its way.
Sara Thomas have told Jonathan to test the faith if they are really meant for each other like going up in a building with different elevator and if they meet in the same floor that means they are destined for each other; second, she put her name and phone number on the first page of the book entitled "LOVE IN THE TIMES OF CHOLERA" and sell it. If he will find that book, then they are meant to be; third, she wrote his name in a dollar bill and if that money will back in her wallet, that means they are destined.
They have separated and live in a different country. They both now engaged but Jon seek help from his best man to look for that woman she met in New York and so as Sara who had just asked her fiancee a break then flew to New York.

Will faith finds its way for the two?

Ana (Shaina Magdayao) is being haunted in her dreams with a woman being killed. Her ex-boyfriend (Jake Cuenca) brings her in the Villa Estrella Resort, an abandoned resort. She then meets a girl named Jennifer (Celine Lim).
The caretaker told her that she has been in that resort when we was a little girl but she refuse to believe because she said she has never been there in that resort. She meets Gisele, who is very familiar to her.
She later realize that she is part on that resort and that the past is haunter her. She recalls that Andrea, her elder close friend, the daughter of the caretaker was killed by her father and her Tito (her ex-boyfriend's father).

This is another horror movie produced in the Philippine Cinema.

He meet Brom who happened to be a Dragon Rider.
When evil King Galbatorix ruled the entire Alagaesia and finds out about Eragon and the Dragon, the evil sents out his men to capture them. Saphira and Eragon forced to leave from their hometown to search for Varden, a group of rebels to want to witness the downfall of Galbatorix.

This movie is a sequel of 1998 Rush hour film with Jacky Chan and Chris Tucker.

LAPD Detective James Carter (Chris Tuicker) is on vacation to Hongkong to visit his friend Hong Kong Police Force Chief Inspector Lee (Jacky Chan). James Carter's mind was mainly to have a good time. however, the bombed explodes in the American Embassy and inspector Less was assigned to it.

They return to Los Angeles to solve the case because they suspected Ricky Tan (John Lone) his late police officer father's former partner.

Will they resolve the case? This movie was really great. I love Jacky Chan's movies because he handled it carefully with humor.

But he only finds Juntao's right hand man Sang (Ken Leung) and he recovers various of Chinese Cultural Treasures being stolen by Juntao to represent as a farewell victory to his departing superiors; Chinese consul Han (Tzi Ma) and British commanderThomas Griffin (Tom Wilkinson).

On the first day of class of Han's daughter Soo-yung is kidnapped by Sang. Chinese Consul han ask Lee to help him rescuing his only daughter. However, LAPD Detective James Carter, is an arrogant, overconfident and clumsy police officer has also been assigned to take the case. But he were told to keep Lee away from the investigation or else he will have a 2-months suspension without pay due to his clumsiness.
He then met Lee at Los Angeles International Airport to fetch Lee. At first, they had a terrible misunderstandings with Lee but later on he forget what his boss said, instead they agreed to solve the case together.

This is a story directed by Jennifer Flackett with the main casts Abigail Breslin, Jodie Foster, Gerald Butler.

Nim(Abigail Breslin), is an 11 year old girl, who lives in an Island in South Pacific with her father (Geral Butler) and her mother is a deceased which her father had told her that her mom was being swallowed by a Blue whale.

Nim receives and email from Alexandra Rover or Alex Rover, the auther of the book Alex Rover Adventure and asks about his field of knowledge. Alex Rover is somewhat adventurous but in reality she is definitely the opposite.

Nim's father is a marine biologist and is gone for 2 days to find protozoa Nim (a new species of Plankton). He wants to take her along but Nim convinces him to stay because she has to oversee Chicca's eggs (Turtle). They communicated via sattelite phone. However, Jack encounters large waves in the ocean that caused his boat ruin. Galileo, the Pelican, friend of Nim help her father and brings back the things that he needs to fix.

They are exchanging thoughts Alex Rover have told that Nim is alone on that island and that her father did not return home as the time expected. She travelled to rescue Nim.

But at last, Nim's father return home and falls in love with Alexandra Rover (Jodie Foster). This is really a great adventure movie.

Dr. Pincus has been chased with the ghosts in the town and asked help from him. The recently deceased businessman Frank(Greg Kinnear) agrees Dr. P to prevent his widow, Gwen (Tea Leoni) from marrying this lawyer Richard (Billy Campbell). But it turned out that Dr. P falls in love with Gwen.

And so as the other ghosts, he help them with their unfinished business left before they died.

This is another story I've watched that title itself describes how the main character Jonathan McQuarry (Ewan McGregor) handle himself when Wyatt Bose (Hugh Jackman) betrayed him or lied at him.

Jonathan McQuarry is an accountant who also audits in the bank. While he is overstaying in their boardroom late at night, he was being interrupted with Wyatt Bose who offers him marijuana and the latter befriended him. On his way home in the subway, he encounters a blond woman (Michelle Williams) but never had the chance to talk to her.

Jonathan Mcquarry is being invited many times with Wyatt Bose including to play tennis and enjoys at night in the bar with him. One day, he accidentally switched their cellphone but unfortunately he was told by Bose that he will have a business trip in London.

One night, a woman called him "Are you Free Tonight" then he said yes. They agreed to meet in a certain place without knowing each other and they proceed directly to the hotel room and had sex.

The other night another woman called him asking the same question and they agree to meet. Wyatt Bose called him to encouraged meeting with different women in the list that is stored in his phone.

One day, he was shocked to see that a woman he met in the subway station. But still he didn't know the real name of that blond woman because one of the rule is "No Name" to mention.
While they were together, The blond woman disappeared quickly and had blood in his room and behind his back, he was being punch with a strong man and then he drowned.

Wyatt Bose contacted him and told him everything that happened. He commanded Jonathan to steal millions of money from the bank he will be audited. He didn't refuse Bose' command and afraid that he will lost his one true love.

Will Jonathan succeed to steal money from the bank? What will happen if he does? Now, its your turn to watch it.

Love in the Times of Cholera (2007)

After more than 50 years of waiting, Fermina's husband died because he falls down from a ladder. Florentino take the chance to seeing her and expressing and keeping his love for more than 50 years. Their romance starts when the cholera epidemic spread throughout their place.

This movie explains that Love will never die nor fade even if you are too old.

She later asks her father if she has a twin and her father revealed that her twin bother died in her mother's womb.
She discovers a letter that addressed to Sofi Kozma and a picture belonged to her mother.
Sofi told her everything that she is the ultimate survivor of the experiment during the Holocaust and that she is her grandmother. She warned her to be careful because she is in great danger.

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian (2008)

After the war in their house, they both realized that they still love each other. They both cooperating to get their target.

On the other hand, chuck is now popular to all women that whoever a woman will make love with him will find her one true love.

This is really a funny movie that you should watch.

This is one my top list movie I ever watched. Slumdog Millionaire is the story to Jamal Malik - an orphan from Mumbai, India.
He joins the Kuan Banega Crorepati (2000) - Who wants to be a million quiz show hoping that his lost love - Latika will watch him.
Every question will reveal his life story as a street kid with his brother, the encounters of a local gangs and etc.
When the final episode comes, the police arrested him when the show breaks and suspicted him of cheating on how this innocent kid answers correctly all the questions. The police listens to his story and he reveal every endeavor he has to get his love Latika back.

This is really touching yet very inspiring story with a kid struggling to live in the streets. His journey has helped him to succeed.

The Messenger: Scarecrew (2009)

This story started when John Rollins (Norman Reedus) - the head of the Rollins Family is trying to his farm. The corn are dying because of the irrigation failure and that he borrowed money from the bank. His financial adviser and his friend advises him to sell the farm but he refuses.

He found a secret door in his barn and found this old scarecrow. He then put the scarecrow in his farm and luck started to come along but everyone who will pass the field will be cursed.

This is also another scary movie for me and I recommend it to you guys who loved to watch horror movies.

This is a 2008 movie. I just saw this movie and its fun.. really really fun.
Joy Mcnally (Cameron Diaz) meets with Jack Fuller - a clumpsy and lousy person who just fired from his boss who happens to his father. Jack Fuller decided to go to Vegas with his unsuccessful lawyer friend, Hater. So as Joy Mcnally. She just dumped by her boyfriend on his birthday in front of her friends. She and her friend decided to go to Vegas.
Due to hotel management mistake, the four stayed in the same room. They go out and explore and ask Cameron to dare with him to drink. The same night, when they are drunk, they don't know that they got married. You know, if you live in Vegas, an instant marriage is available.
Their horrifying and funny story evolved in their unplanned marriage after Jack uses joy's coin to gamble in the jackpot machine and got the jackpot of 3 million dollars.
Will they survive their marriage or ended up a divorce?

Priya decided to go to New york City to meet with Granger and stays at Hawksin Hotels. But she hide her identity before Granger. They accidentaly collide their path at the lobby but she never tells that she is the girl whom he want to meet.
They enjoy their time together during her stay at the hotel. Priya's parents flew in to New York and her true identity reveals. She is already engaged back in Mumbai, India. She apologize to Granger and flew back to India. Granger realizes that he is in love to Priya, he reaches India... Priya's parents accepts her decicion.
This is a great movie. You should watch it guys.

His friend and co-worker Sebastian Tunney suggests to a couple to adopt first a dog to find out if they are ready to raise a family. Marley - the name of a dog is a kind of sweet that's why Jenny choose Marley to be part in their family.
But things changed when Marley is getting bigger and bigger. They welcomed their first baby Patrick.

When John reaches 40 and so as Marley is getting older and began to have an arthritis that could lead him to die. The whole family mourn of losing Marley because Marley is their first baby.

This is a funny movie and a story of a family who lives simply with their big dog in the house.

She sees a vision of the ghosts in their house including her burned mother and only Alex she can depend on. Her mother warned her from Rachel. So they collects all Rachel's belongings including IDs and checked her personal background. They soon realize that there was no name Rachel exists.
At the end, she kills Rachel knowing that it was Ales who killed her but after her father arrive, she now realizes that Alex is already dead with her mother in their boathouse. She recalls what happened to that night.
This suspense horror movie makes my heart pump everytime she forsee the ghosts and her mother corpse. This is really great.

Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian

The Museum pieces has been moved to Federal Storage Washington Museums because the Museum of National History is closed for renovations.
On the last night, Larry (Ben Stiller) finds his friends including Theodore Roosevelt(Robin Williams), Rexy the tyrannosaurus skeleton, and Dexter the capuchin monkey.
The good Pharaoh Ahkmenrah and his tablet are not moving to Smithsonian Institution, and the Easter Island head - without the Tablet of Ahkmenrah, and other exhibits will no longer be animated. And there adventure begun.
This is really great movie. I have also watched the night of the Museum 1 where Larry(Ben Stiller) defeated the three night guards plotting to steal the Tablet.

The Hunting in Connecticut (2009)

The Campbell family experienced horrible violent supernatural events that Matt's parents first blame stress and hallucinations from his medications and treatment.

This story focusses on Matt Campbell, the son of Sara, who is being treted by cancer.

Matt Campbell is staying at the basement where in the middle of the night, his clairvoyant have experienced several disturbing visions of a seance.

Later, the family discovers that the house was previously a funeral parlor.

This is scary movie. At first, I cannot just imagine that this is really happening. The mysteries behind has been solved with the help of Matt.

At the end, Matt survive of cancer and is fully recovered. The house has been rebuilt, resold with no further disturabances or incidents reported.

A Walk to Remember (2002)

This is really an amazing film I've ever watched. I almost cannot hold my tears back into my eyes with the life's story of Hanna Schmitz (Kate Winslett) and Micheal Berg (David Kross).

We never know when we feel love. We never know how it ends. This movie is related to the world war during Adolf Hitler's occupation, however, the story focusses on the two main casts: Hanna Schmitz (Kate Winslett) and Michael Berg (David Kross).

When Michael Berg was nearly sixteen years old, was ill at the German Stret, a woman in her 30s (Kate Winslett) took care of him and when he recovers he shows back to her apartment to thank her. The two end up with a passionate love romance. He always read a book for her like "The Oddysey" and "The Lady with the Little Dog". But suddenly Hanna disappears and Michael didn't know her whereabouts. Several years later, Michael is a law student observing some Nazi war trials when he realize that the defendant is Hanna Schmitz.

But have you not noticed why it is called "The Reader?" Simply because Hanna loves being read. When she imprison for many years, Michael send her various tape that record his own voice reading a story of "The Lady with the Little Dog". Hanna then knew how to read and write in the jail with the help of the recorded voice tape of Michael Berg.

This story shows how his concern and love to woman whom she always call him "KID".

I really love this captivating movie. I recommended this movie to all my friends and I wasnt to share them the essence of this inspiring film.

An emergency call that takes them to an apartment complex. Police officers are already there when they arrived. Sooner they realize that a woman in the building have infected by a deadly unknown disease and they are trapped inside no way to get out. There mobile phones, tvs, internet connection have been cut off.

This is really a breath-taking movie. This horror film is one my favourie horror movie I cannot forget.

His brother also shows up and killed his girlfriend living him a revenge. He accepted Stryker's offer to be infused with Adamantium so that he can be more powerful.
Later, he found out that Stryker and his brother Victor Creed are working together to gather all abilities of the mutants for their new project and learns that his girlfriend isn't dead but was keeping an eye in him for 6 years and manipulating him with mutant power of persuasion. Fox confronted Stryker and demanded the release of her sister and she was told to wait.
William Stryker activates his XI project which is a combination of all mutant abilities and fight againts Logan. After he won the fight he was safe from the falling debris and was shot by Stryker with adamantium bullets which is the only way to hurt him. He woke up and started to ask himself who he is. Logan is last seen on the bar drinking to remember himself.

This action movie will make you thrilled all the way as the story goes.

This movie is really great and is one of the most amazing fantasy adventure film that I've ever watched.

I really love this movie and was totaly amazed the unending romance of Melman the giraffe and Gloria the Hippo. They fell in love with each other inspite of their differences, physically but emotionally the same.

You will learn a lot in this movie and enjoy much more with your family. I am hoping that there will be Madagascar 3 (heheheh).

When he escape from deportation, he lived in the abandoned ruin warsaw who was just bombed by the Nazis. Fortunately, he was lucky to have a nice friend and offered him a comfortable shelter hiding in their apartment. However, if in case the Germans find him, he should go out to the street and forced to hide in an abandoned building, sometimes when circumstance he nearly caught by the germans, he pretended to be dead.

This is one of my favorite movie. I really had enjoyed watching this movie with the voice main casts are my favorite actors and actresses. They are Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, David Schwimmer, Jada Pinkett Smith, Andy Richter, Sacha Baron Cohen, Cedric the entertainer.
Ales the lion, the king of the urban jungle, now is the main attractions of new york together with his friends Marty the Zebra, Melman the giraffe, and Gloria the Hippo. They lived their entire lives in the big city where the crowds will cheer every time alex shows.
Marty's curiosity to find the better of him, with the help the penguins he escaped and explore the world where he belongs, Alex and Gloria go after him, they were being captivated and captured. The penguins sabotaged the ship, the three friends rushed to the shore. Now, the new yorkers especially the new york giant alex, who was not used of living in the jungle will now learn how to survive what Marty has been dreaming of.
This movie is also perfect for the family and the kids will really enjoy it.

This is a great story for couple and you can get a valuable lesson from it. I strongly recommend this movie to those married couples who has just terribly fighting each other and cannot overcome the loads they have.

The story reflects to the common problem to couples.

When Caleb hold tries to save their marriage for 40 days known as "The Love Dare" when his father - a Reformed Christian, tries to help him to save their seven years of marriage. Caleb is a firefighter who stand his rule "Never Leave your Partner" but he cannot resist the fact that his own married life situation nearly fall apart.

So he confronted his father and told him everything about their never-ending arguments. His father asked him if there is another way and chance to save their marriage. He asked a favor and gave him a book calle a "Love Dare".

The setting of the story and the big impact to the families have greatly influenced many couples. To accept Jesus Christ as your Savior and he never leave you behind all the time.

Whis his parents are both working with their respective employers, Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell forced to have various of people to babysit Dennis. The latter becomes more and more notorious among babysitters for being more than a handful, and his flagrant unwillingness to be babysat by Martha Wade (parent of his female nemesis, Margaret), proves a difficult situation when both parents are forced to go on business trips for their respective companies.

His parents tried to ask Mr. and Mrs. Wilson to babysit Dennis. Mr. Wilson, becoming a winner of the community's garden association, holds a party, inviting the elder community to witness the blooming of a rare flower, whose forty-year existence will, in the light of a full moon, produce only ten seconds of a flowered life before withering away.

Dennis ran off away from Mr. Wilson when he mistakenly pushed the button and turned out all their foods swipped on the ground.

He was driven to the forest and Sam - the thief found him and made him a hostage. The hostage taker is now the victim of Dennis' naughtyness and send the thief to jail.

This is an extraordinary movie for me which is perfect for the whole family.

The story goes like this:

In 1959, at William Dawes Elementary School, Massachusetts, a time capsule containing the drawing of the students the idea of what will be the future look like and buried and set to be opened 50 years later. There was a girl named Lucinda Embry contributes a full page of ramdom numbers and acted mysteriously. She was then found one day at the school's closet with her bloodied hands and complaining about the whispering voices.

50 years later, A boy named Caleb - son of John Koestler, a widower and a professor of astrophysics at MIT. Caleb receives the handwriting of Lucinda Embry containing the series of numbers and John noticed it. John Koestler realized that the series of numbers in the paper form dates and death tolls of every major disaster for over 50 years and suggests there are still three disasters to come.

Caleb begins receiving mysterious visits from the strangers and hears a telephatic whispers. John witnesses the tragic commercial place crash on the very place and date the predicted disaster will occur. Another disaster will happen in Manhattan. He also tried to prevent the Manhattan train derailment crash but he failed.

The last major disaster would be the Solar flare which everybody will die. Caleb and Abby - granddaughter of Lucinda was being driven by the strangers and reached to the forest. They were being saved and followed the strangers.

However, John went home to his family and together they will die as the solar flare strikes the earth.

This story nearly comes into reality as I have watched this movie. The last disaster where the solar flare or the sun explodes and all the living creatures in the earth will vanished. I guess, this predictions have the possibility to come true. Because, as we can see now our environment and the climate change.
